Roll up roll up!
Roll up to see the funniest clown in town!
But Just who is the funniest?
Is it ZIMZAM, with his jokes that make everyone laugh at someone else's expense?
Or HIPHOP, who makes everyone laugh because the jokes are always on him?
Bristol Old Vic's festive studio productions always delight our younger audiences, and this year promises to be no different.
Good Clown Bad Clown is a highly visual, comic tale of high jinks and heroics, suitable for anyone aged 4 and over, written by Renata Allen and directed by associate Director John Retallack.
'One of the most charming, heart-warming and visually breathtaking shows of the year.'
.... Venue on Boing! 2010
‘Retallack lets each character's story develop... with crowd pleasing flourishes... and diverting visual humour.' Venue on FairyMonsterGhost
Pre-Show Activities
Good Clown and Bad Clown invite you to roll up an hour before your performance for some extra clowning around at our very own Festive Funfair, where we'll have lots of free activities on offer. Come and get your face painted and design your own clown face for display in our clown hall of fame! There'll also be colouring, games and we can even prepare you your own special picnic (you'll need to call us in advance). So gather your troupes and head down early for some free family fun. (Available before performances between 1 - 16 Dec).
Free Tickets For Under 4s!
* We'd like to make you aware that despite the 4+ age guidance, younger children are very welcome. Good Clown Bad Clown is a treat for all ages, and we want you to feel like you can bring the whole family along. That's why we're running a special offer for performances between 1 - 16 Dec, where under 4s can see the show for free!
So if you've got even littler ones, why not bring them along for a first taste of theatre? You don't need to worry about them getting restless - we'll try and seat you where it's convenient for you to leave the Studio as and when necessary, and we'll have our friendly ushers on hand to help too.
