Win Festive Booze or even better £200 - Write an article for us

Fancy yourself as a writer? We are always looking for great wordsmiths and artists to join our rapidly expanding team of writers, artists and musos.

We love articles on all subjects, art, music, clubbing, social commentary, fashion, styling, rants, simply what ever floats your boat, as long as we like it, we'll use it, and the best article per city will win some festive booze for a party. The most read article on site will win a cash prize of £200

Hint and tips for success:

Write engaging and relevant editorial, for example if there is a festival in your city, you need to cover it, what about a headline artists appearing at your local o2? Cover it; people will be searching for it online.

Ensure your writing is suitable for the web, nb: Always state the name of the venue/band in the review title ie: My Chemical Romance of The Academy in Bristol 20/11/2001. Ensure the city /band/venue name is mentioned several times in the review (within reason and as part of the article. 2 -3 times).

Always use images in your article, which must be named accordingly ie My Chemical Romance of The Academy in Bristol 20/11/2001.jpeg

Tell your friends, promote the site/your editorial through your personal facebook account, with links back to the copy/article you have written. Ask your friends to tell their friends, and so on.

Encourage your friends to comment on your article, the most commented article will be hosted on the home page of the site, and therefore increase traffic.

Encourage people to join the facebook and twitter accounts. Promote your articles within these FB/Twitter accounts – with links back to the original article online.‘Seed’ your articles, this means when you have an article on say ‘My Chemical Romance’ find their facebook group/twitter/blogs and post links back to you article. This will generate huge numbers of traffic.
